MEDTEC UK brings together medical device companies and advanced technology providers to discuss and share the latest product developments, research and innovations in healthcare.

Triteq can be found on Stand Number 513, our Triteq Commercial Director Steve Lane, will be hosting a Round Table discussion on Thursday 15th May. Steve will be speaking on our work with the AP@Home project and our extensive experience in designing and developing safety critical medical devices.

With over 40 years’ experience, Steve has an extremely successful background in the design and development of electronic products for many different industry sectors. Triteq Ltd was founded by Steve and Jackie Berry 22 years ago, and has grown into a successful company with a passion for sustainable product design. Triteq works with universities, entrepreneurs and start-ups as well as multinational organisations to achieve innovative solutions to design challenges, from concept to prototype and every stage in-between. Working with Triteq has allowed Steve to develop his in-depth understanding and knowledge of GSM, GPS, GPRS and other wireless technologies, along with the application of these for location and information systems. Although his main focus is on developing business within the company, Steve continues to play an active role in customer projects and maintains an interest in emerging and new technologies suitable for application and development.

For the last four years, Steve has also managed the AP@Home project.  The main objective of the project is to improve how patients manage diabetes in a home environment, by developing an artificial pancreas that allows automated glucose control for patients with insulin treated diabetes. Now in its final year, AP@home is a research project funded by the European Commission and is responsible for developing the system for Clinical Evaluations across six European sites, through a consortium of 12 partners.
